The Word Is Alive

1 Cor 1:20-25 (NKJV)

Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

1 Peter 2:7-8 (NKJV)

Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient,
"The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone,"

and "A stone of stumbling And a rock of offense."
They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.

Think back to your own conversion, or should I say pre-conversion. When the word was spoke to you, did it seem foolish or not relevant to you? I couldn't stand it when people would talk to me about the bible, I would do anything to get away from them that spoke it. Now in contrast, its hard for get me out of it, it draws me in.
What a transformation.

When we go out into the world, know that Gods word, while sweet to us, will be bitter to them. That's what amazes me so about the word of God. By just simply reading it, it actually convicts hearts and lays them bare before the Lord. Its powerful!
They will tell you its foolishness, that we are weird or whatever else they may say, but rest assured, the word cuts like a knife, it takes down walls, it restores peace, it heals, it provides food for our souls, gives us comfort, reminds us of our sinful nature and gives us a peace that surpasses all understanding it is indeed the power of God and the wisdom of God.

The word is alive, and real and it speaks of a savior who gives life to those who will receive Him, it should be shared, cherished, honored respected and glorified for He is worthy and He has given us a gift from above and it is worthy of spreading through out the world!

Don't keep it a secret!
