No Time Like The Present

Luke 2:25-32 (NIV)

Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord's Christ. Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:

"Sovereign Lord, as you have promised,
you now dismiss your servant in peace.
For my eyes have seen your salvation,
which you have prepared in the sight of all people,
a light for revelation to the Gentiles
and for glory to your people Israel."



The Holy spirit revealed that Simeon would not see death until he had seen the Savior of the world. Don't you wish we all had that promise?

In our lives the bible tells us we must seek Him, we don't have the luxury of the Holy spirit telling us before hand that we wont die until we see Him.

So many times we see people who are waiting to the very end to receive the free gift of salvation, they take the stance that they will eat drink and be merry for now, and later on when they are done they will seek God. They don't take into account life! Life happens as does death, everyday, everywhere. In fact leading study's of highly educated professionals prove that 10 out of 10 people die!

If we were all guaranteed that we would have notice of some sort before we die than the argument would be a good one, But none of us knows, only God knows the beginning and end. And when its time, Its time.

Don't put off for tomorrow what should be done today, If you are reading this than 2 things are true right now.
1. Your alive
2. Today is the day of salvation

Seek the Lord today and get into a right relationship with the Father who loves you and is waiting to hear from you today.
Today's verse says the Holy spirit moved him to go. The Holy Spirit still works the same today as it did 2000 year ago and He is moving in your life today.
