Can You Hear Him?

Ps 81:8-16 (NIV)

"Hear, O my people, and I will warn you —
if you would but listen to me, O Israel!
You shall have no foreign god among you;
you shall not bow down to an alien god.
I am the Lord your God,
who brought you up out of Egypt.
Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.

"But my people would not listen to me;
Israel would not submit to me.
So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts
to follow their own devices.

"If my people would but listen to me,
if Israel would follow my ways,
how quickly would I subdue their enemies
and turn my hand against their foes!
Those who hate the Lord would cringe before him,
and their punishment would last forever.
But you would be fed with the finest of wheat;
with honey from the rock I would satisfy you."

In A time when angels from the Lord would come and speak directly and clearly to Gods people they would still find there own thing to do, what ever pleased them, whatever satisfied their flesh. They would not obey God, but turn to foreign gods and walk in there own paths.
When you look at the world today, there are no angels popping in to give us a word, or a cloud to follow,a burning bush to talk to us, you know a clear sign of what God wants. People today still follow foreign gods, whether it be a false religion, or things like money, toys, career, position or addictions whatever pleases their flesh. I believe God is still as passionate about His people as He was then, He still wants us to walk in the right path that leads to Him and I believe that if He could He would still say the same things to us today.
Perhaps He still can!
Maybe He just did!
The Bible is our cloud to follow, our burning bush and our personal angel of God speaking to us directly and clearly. All we need to do is hear what He would speak into our hearts and obey and follow Him.
Is there something in your life that is hindering His voice from being heard?
Ask God to reveal those things in your life that keep distance between you and your creator, He is faithful to reveal them to you.
