Ps 15:1-5 (from THE MESSAGE:)
God, who gets invited
to dinner at your place?
How do we get on your guest list?
"Walk straight,
act right,
tell the truth.
"Don't hurt your friend,
don't blame your neighbor;
despise the despicable.
"Keep your word even when it costs you,
make an honest living,
never take a bribe.
"You'll never get
blacklisted
if you live like this."
These seem like such basic things that David is laying out here for us, but its alarming how fast we turn from them when we think there's a better deal out there or more money to be made if we just take this shortcut and tell a little lie, or even throw blame on someone else to keep our noses clean.
It is sad to say, that a lot of Christians still miss this point.
Taking the right path isn't always easy, maybe not even fair (in your eyes) But try to keep a God perspective on things and see that the right way will be rewarded, you will see in time, that the good guy does win, because if we live our lives according to Gods plan and serve Him to the end He Himself will reward us in full.
Go out and make a difference for Christ in your world today, do the right thing and allow His light to shine through you!
