Be Encouraged

2 Chron. 32:7-8 (NLT)
"Be strong and courageous! Don't be afraid of the king of Assyria or his mighty army, for there is a power far greater on our side! He may have a great army, but they are just men. We have the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles for us!" These words greatly encouraged the people.



Hezekiah could see with eyes of faith. The number of his opponents meant nothing as long as he was on the Lord’s side. Victory is “not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD Almighty” (Zech. 4:6). Hezekiah could confidently encourage his men because he had no doubt about where he stood with God.
Are you on the Lord’s side?
You may never face an enemy army, but the battles you face every day can be won with God’s strength.

The Lord shows me each and every day that no weapon formed against me shall prosper because I am a child of the most high God. I sometime lose sight of that promise and allow the devil to get a foothold on me. This happened to me recently and I wish I could have gotten out of the fog faster but the light finally came on and I remembered the promise the Lord gave us.
I was going through a raging personal battle and it seemed as though the enemy was prevailing and my faith was shrinking. But it was a lie from the pit of hell. Almost as soon as I began to recall what Gods word said about my problems, and the enemy and his lack of power over me a light went on and as fast as the problems came there was peace again. Not to say they wont return, in this situation I can pretty much bet they will, but my focus will be different and I wont allow it to take me out again.
I never doubted for a minute that God was with me through it, what I did however was fail to remember His power and His promises for a season, and remember who's I am.
Our adversary is like a lion prowling to and fro seeking whom he will destroy, The other side of that is God is so much bigger than that and I am greatly encouraged by that.
