Soon And Very Soon

Gal 4:15-20
What has happened to all your joy? I can testify that, if you could have done so, you would have torn out your eyes and given them to me. Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?

Those people are zealous to win you over, but for no good. What they want is to alienate you [from us], so that you may be zealous for them. It is fine to be zealous, provided the purpose is good, and to be so always and not just when I am with you. My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you, how I wish I could be with you now and change my tone, because I am perplexed about you!
NIV

“Those people” refers to false teachers who claimed to be religious authorities and experts in Judaism and Christianity. Appealing to the believers’ desire to do what was right, they drew quite a following. Paul said, however, that they were wrong and that their motives were selfish. False teachers are often respectable and persuasive. That is why all teachings should be checked against the Bible.

In the last few weeks there has been some emails and such out there that are putting people in a bit of a fear mode. I have even had several people ask me what my thoughts were about them. Well here's what I told them.

The bible tells us in several places that people will come claiming to know the day and the hour of Christs return.

Possibly if you send them some money or a seed offering they can give you information to what they know. Theirs lots of false teachers and prophets out there, and they would love to take your money and get you in a place of fear so that you need to put all your trust hope and money in them to help you.

2 Thess 2:1-4

Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come. Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
NIV

The fact is, if you read what Gods word says, and line all things up prayerfully with His word, than that fear will go away, because then you will understand the times and when Christ comes (and no one knows the day or the hour, not even Jesus Knew) it wont be a time of fear for the Christians. No not at all, it will be a time of great joy to finnaly get to see our Savior face to face and what a joyous time that will be.

2 Peter 2:11
But the angels, even though they are far greater in power and strength than these false teachers, never speak out disrespectfully against the glorious ones.

2 Peter 2:3
In their greed they will make up clever lies to get hold of your money. But God condemned them long ago, and their destruction is on the way.

1 John 4:1
Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.

And Finally this is the best advice I could give to anyone who is struggling with this issue;

Matthew 25:13
"So stay awake and be prepared, because you do not know the day or hour of my return.

Give Matthew 24 a read and see where the Lord would guide you from there.

Christ is returning soon and very soon, we just need to be about our Fathers business.
