Your Not Fooling God

1 John 1:5-10

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.

Heb 9:14
How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

It is so good to know that we serve a God who has been tempted in every way and yet sinned not. We however get tempted everyday, sometimes we make it through, and other times its a little harder and we stumble.

We are not perfect as Christ was, if we aren't staying in fellowship with Him who saved us, then we are taking a chance to allow more temptation to creep in to our lives. Slowly but surely it takes over and before you know it its got you locked up, trapped, thinking that if any one finds out your done with.
But the Bible says in (James 5:15-16)
And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

That's Great news, the Lord is just to forgive us, and if we take the advice of the writer and confess our sin one to another we loose that bondage that the devil puts on us and helps us walk it through. God has placed people in your life that will help you and walk it out with you. God doesn't want us trapped in the bondage of sin, He wants us to be free to love Him And His Church.
Pray to God that He would reveal that person to you today, and begin to lift off that yoke off slavery before it gets any heavier.
