The Whole Truth And Nothing But The Truth

Acts 20:25-31

"Now I know that none of you among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom will ever see me again. Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood. I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.

Jesus Told His disciples;
Matt 10:16
I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.

Disciples were to expect and to endure persecution from those who rejected and hated their Lord.

Are we living in a different world today?
A world that accepts the words of Jesus and graciously pats us on the back and says good job, way to go for building the kingdom of your God?

I think not, Jesus Himself said we would be hated on account of Him, because He was hated. Even though we want people to come to the Lord, we need to be careful that we don't water down the truth of the gospel of Christ. In a way it becomes the bait and switch. Lure them in and let them find out later that its not just "pie in the sky were going to see Jesus."

Its not fair to them and God is not honored that way for the bible says in
Matthew 7:13-14

"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Lets not be deceived, we serve a great God and people deserve the whole truth about Him. Be like Paul and rest assured that there blood wont be on you because you have not hesitated to proclaim to them the whole will of God.
