HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Luke 2:51-52 (NIV)
But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.


If we only knew the things a mother keeps in her heart, all the stories, all the heartaches of watching her children stumble along life's path the countless prayers that go up on behalf of there children. All the scraped knees that were tended too, the ouweees that only mom could fix by kissing and making it better the first second third and fourth heartbreak from the girl or boy that they just would die without.

To a mom, these are little treasures, unique to her alone. As a man, the dad surely doesn't keep these things. I can barely remember yesterday when the little one got hurt. She keeps these things tucked away in her heart and when the trials of life come for her or for the grown child, she calls on those fond moments,remembers the prayers that were sent up and remembers that God has His hands upon that child and her prayers are answered today as they were back then.

Moms are unique, and none of us could be here with out them, its part of Gods design and so it shall be. Proverbs 31 describes moms all over the world, and when you stop and think of all that they do in the home, one day to honor and celebrate just doesn't seem to be fitting.
