"Warm" Not So Good For Washing

Rev 3:14-22 (NIV)

"To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:

These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm — neither hot nor cold — I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

At some point in our walk with Christ we can get complacent, lose our fire and just be mediocre Christians. In revelations God addresses those type of people who fell into that trap He says "So, because you are lukewarm — neither hot nor cold — I am about to spit you out of my mouth." Christians hear my heart on this; I had some one close to me tell me one time after hearing my Pastor preach on being on the fence, that they were that lukewarm Christian, that they were on the fence and did not want to go all the way in, how they weren't ready to be a "Bible thumper" and since that day they have turned and walked in the complete opposite direction. God was doing a work in this person and changing their heart and when push came to shove, at least for the time being, evil prevailed in their life.
This broke my heart and this scripture continues to run through my head and makes me wonder how, after knowing whats on the other side of the fence that anyone would still want to go.
Our adversary is powerful and cunning, But our God is bigger and more powerful and sees the beginning and the end. I believe He sees that person where they will be already.
David was someone who was All In, over and over in the Psalms we hear of it.
Be All in for God in all you do, because on the other side of the fence is destruction

Ps 26:1-27:1 (Message ver)

Psalm of David

Judge me favorably, O Lord, because I have walked with integrity and I have trusted you without wavering. Examine me, O Lord, and test me. Look closely into my heart and mind. I see your mercy in front of me. I walk in the light of your truth. I did not sit with liars, and I will not be found among hypocrites. I have hated the mob of evildoers and will not sit with wicked people. I will wash my hands in innocence. I will walk around your altar, O Lord, so that I may loudly sing a hymn of thanksgiving and tell about all your miracles.
O Lord, I love the house where you live, the place where your glory dwells.
Do not sweep away my soul along with hardened sinners or my life along with bloodthirsty people. Evil schemes are in their hands. Their right hands are full of bribes. But I walk with integrity. Rescue me, and have pity on me. My feet stand on level ground. I will praise the Lord with the choirs in worship.
