Isa 55:8-9
"For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord.
"For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
NKJV
Ps 92:5-6
O Lord, how great are Your works!
Your thoughts are very deep.
A senseless man does not know,
Nor does a fool understand this.
NKJV
The other day I began to think about just that very thing, "what does God think?"
What does He think about us, this world, the things we do, the things others do.
I think the Bible has plenty to say about that. I believe God allows us to know what He thinks and really wants us to know but even more that we would care.
Society has put God on the back burner, even some Christians, even worse some churches.
The emphasis has gotten off of what God thinks and has turned to how can we relate best to the world.
Matt 6:33-34
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
NKJV
God say's seek after Him first and foremost and the rest will come as is His will to provide.
As a people we have lost our focus and we live in a world that is in some ways further from God than its ever been (Just turn on the TV for 1 hour the signs are all around us)
Gods thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are not our ways. We have sought to entertain and lull the church to sleep in mediocrity.
Rev 3:16
So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
NKJV
Pretty harsh and clear isn't it? God is saying He will spit us out for being mediocre. Be one way or the other. What does God think about our Mediocrity? I think Revelation says it all.
For the next few weeks I want to look at some other areas of Gods thoughts and explore what it means or should mean to us.
I have decided to kick 2011 off with exploring Gods word deeper and sharing what I have found.
This Blog has been quiet for a while but God has given me a fresh desire to publish it again. So prayerfully I hope to bring His word, and the thoughts He gives to you to share. I pray it will bless you and stir your heart to seek after God with all of your heart and
CALL ON GOD daily.
God Bless, and thank you for joining me on this journey.
