A Greater Hope

Isaiah 35:3-7 (NLT)
With this news, strengthen those who have tired hands, and encourage those who have weak knees. Say to those who are afraid, "Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you." And when he comes, he will open the eyes of the blind and unstop the ears of the deaf. The lame will leap like a deer, and those who cannot speak will shout and sing! Springs will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams will water the desert. The parched ground will become a pool, and springs of water will satisfy the thirsty land. Marsh grass and reeds and rushes will flourish where desert jackals once lived.


I find great encouragement as I read this today. As we go through Isaiah and read all that he spoke to Gods people we can remember that those promises and prophesies are still true today. Soon and very soon our Lord is going to come and take all the pain and sorrow away, we shall be with Him forevermore, the troubles and worries of this day will be gone. It will be because we kept our eyes on the prize, stayed the course and never lost hope in the one true savior of the world.

Isaiah 40:29-31 (NLT)
He gives power to those who are tired and worn out; he offers strength to the weak. Even youths will become exhausted, and young men will give up. But those who wait on the Lord will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

Until that time when He comes there will be trouble, we will see persecution, and evil , immoral people will try to over throw our hope and convince us that there is no hope in a living God. Rest assure, they are wrong and God will show them sooner than they know just how much hope there is.

Continue to run the race, walk steadfast, and wait upon the Lord, He will provide new strength, energy, hope, endurance for as long as you need. Just seek Him by turning to His word daily, look to Him, trust in Him and He will continue to show up in a big way.

He alone is My greater hope!

Father I pray for everyone who receives this word today, that You would show yourself faithful as you always do and strengthen the saints in their time of need. For those that are on the verge of giving up that You O Lord would refresh them, give them new fresh eyes to see through their situation that they can be encouraged to get in there today and They would fly high on wings like eagles knowing that even if we dont see a victory today in our battles, there is one on the way.
