Job 34:19 (NLT)
He doesn't care how great a person may be, and he doesn't pay any more attention to the rich than to the poor. He made them all.
Acts 10:34
Then Peter replied, "I see very clearly that God doesn't show partiality.
Romans 2:11
For God does not show favoritism.
1 Peter 1:17
And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites when he judges. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time as foreigners here on earth.
So unless I'm reading this wrong......GOD DOESN'T SHOW FAVORITISM.
I know this has never happened to you so I will just talk about me for a moment.
So I can be pretty judgmental at times, even looking down on others who are perhaps less fortunate or just look like they haven't made the best choices in life and are in the consequences of those decisions. I think back on the times when I have looked on those people and then think to myself "I wonder how God looks at them?"
I'm finding in life that God must look at them the same way He looks at me, that is to say that He loves them with every bit of love that He loves me with. We are simply in different stages of life. Of Course I don't mean to judge its that sinful part of me that creeps out and I need to get it in check quickly and rather find a way to love on that person even at the very least pray for them.
God loves us equally and that is a hard thing for my human mind to grasp, but then so is His love. Who of you could take a murderer in his dying moments into your arms for eternity?
